SrMoO4 – Strontium molybdate
Pump 1064 nm | Stokes 1175(I) nm; 1312(II) nm; 1485(III) nm; 1710(IV) nm
Strontium molybdate (SrMoO4) single crystals are usually grown via Czochralski method. When crystal is grown it is usually cut along a-axis (alpha cut). Reason for this cut is lowest thermal expansion.
Polarization of pumping and stokes should be parallel to c-axis, then maximal stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is achieved – E is along optical axis (c-axis).
SrMoO4 (Strontium Molybdate) is great candidate as gain media in solid state lasers, it can be doped with Ytterbium (Y), Erbium (Er), Praseodymium (Pr), Holmium (Ho), Thulium (Tm) or other chemical elements.
